Artist Statement:

My name and initials are very important to me. I am named after my parent's sisters. I am also close with my family, so I hold my last name close to my heart. If I had to create a logo to get stamped on my forehead for the rest of my life it would be my initials. I love the color pink growing up and it was the color of my first bedroom. I also grew up with three sisters and we all loved barbie. That is why I chose the pink monochrome for one of my logos. I wanted to keep the monochrome theme going and so I got inspiration from monochrome color wheels.

I also used a flame because a match flame starts at small and then gets bigger. That shows how small steps can lead to big and successful outcomes. It then expanded for communication purposes. Now today the internet is used for all sorts of things. We use it to communicate with friends and family. We also use it for advertising, social media, and entertainment purposes.  The World Wide Web is all public websites and pages that users can access on computers and other devices. Tim Bermers Lee and Robert Cailliau are the founders of the World Wide Web. It was created in 1989. It was originally used to share information between scientists in universities and institutes around the world. The world wide web opened the internet to everyone not just scientists. It also opened blogs, video sharing, and more....

  Artist Statement: My favorite TV show is Gilmore Girls which is why I chose it for my project. I have rewatched it multiple times. The show makes you feel connected with the characters because you know so much about their personal lives. I am very close with my family and sisters. Using this show for my "Somewhere" project felt right. I also chose the scene where they are taking a family picture after the character Rory's graduation.
